Since my earliest years, I have been actively involved with art. By nature, I am a very visual person.
That interest led me to talking my parents into purchasing a Commodore 64 so that I could program video games. Once I got older I focused on multimedia, and some web development gigs as businesses slowly began to adopt an online presence. That opened the doors to engineering, and before I realized it I was primarily focused on engeering. I remember one particular startup I had worked for where I had to fight for design work, working in an admin/engineer capacity durign the day, and spending free time over nights and weekends to tackle design jobs. So, there is definitely a soft spot for UI design in my heart.
